Latin and Greek

Mentoring and advising is an essential part of the program. All new and returning students should contact Dr. Chiara Graf at cgraf@umd.edu to schedule an advising appointment before registering for courses.

The postbaccalaureate Program in Latin and Greek offers advanced coursework in the Latin and/or Greek language and literature that places ancient literary texts in the broader context of ancient Greek and Roman culture and civilization.

• Courses are taught by University of Maryland (UMD) faculty and professionals in the field.
• Classes meet in person on weekdays, typically between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the UMD College Park campus.
• The program follows the semester academic calendar with classes held in the spring and fall semesters (16 weeks each).
