Congratulations on your offer of spring admission! There are many ways to connect with us.

Admitted Student Open House

This full-day, campus-wide event is hosted by Undergraduate Admissions for students admitted to UMD. Throughout the day, you’ll explore campus, attend academic and student life sessions, and learn about the resources available to you as a Terp.

As part of the Open House, Freshmen Connection (FC) offers a dedicated information session where you can meet former FC students and program staff, ask questions, and discover how the program supports a successful start at UMD.

Freshmen Connection Express

This focused, one-hour session is designed to help you learn about the Freshmen Connection program. You’ll hear directly from former FC students and program staff, get an overview of how the program works, and have time to ask your questions.

Freshmen Connection Express is ideal if you’re unable to attend the full Admitted Student Open House or prefer a shorter session dedicated entirely to FC.

  • Register for FC Express.
    • On Campus:
      • Monday, February 16 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Full)
      • Monday, February 16 from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
      • Monday, April 6 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
      • Monday, April 6 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    • Virtual:
      • Thursday, March 19 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

  • Schedule an Appointment
    • To schedule an appointment (via phone, virtual, or in-person), provide us with details of your availability using this form. You will receive a confirmation email with appointment details within 48 business hours. If you haven't received a response within this time frame, check your spam folder.
  • Drop-in Advising
    • You also have the option to utilize virtual advising. Visit the Drop-In Advising page and review the available times on the calendar. Once you've identified a suitable time, select Join the LTSC Drop-In Queue in TerpEngage to proceed with securing your spot.
  • Email Advisors
    • Advisors are able to answer most questions via email. For prompt assistance, email fc@umd.edu, and you’ll receive a response within 24-48 business hours.
