Program Tuition

Tuition assessed at a special per credit rate that does not differentiate between Maryland residents and non-residents. This special rate only applies to course registration as specified in the program’s plan of study. Students who register for course/sections outside of these programs are assessed tuition based on their residency.

Mandatory fees

Mandatory fees are assessed according to location, delivery type, and semester.

  • Campus Fees, Undergraduate: Assessed based on the total number of registered credits each fall or spring semester for any course held on campus, even if only for one class meeting. For a breakdown of fees, see Student Financial Services - Tuition and Fees.
  • Summer Campus Services Fee: Flat rate charged for any course registration that requires students to come to campus, even if only for one class meeting. Assessed for each six-week session. Supports university resources that include transportation, student union, recreation, and registration services.
  • Summer Distance Learning Fee: Flat rate charged for any course registration that does not require students to come to campus (e.g., internships, courses offered completely online). Assessed for each six-week session. Supports university resources and registration services.

Mandatory fees are waived for online students during the Fall and Spring semesters. A mandatory fee is assessed for Summer Session registration. Due to differences in the assessment of mandatory fees for online students, access to certain University resources (including, but not limited to, student event tickets and RecWell membership) may be restricted.
