Format Considerations
The MPS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology offers hybrid and fully online learning options. Applicants select their preferred program delivery format during the application process.
The program admits students twice a year: in the Spring and in the Fall. Both options offer seminar-style instruction, career guidance, and applied opportunities.
- The Spring cohort offers fully online instruction for students seeking greater flexibility. Live-streamed synchronous classes are delivered via user-friendly web-based technology, complemented by pre-recorded resources to create an interactive and engaging learning experience.
- The Fall cohort offers hybrid learning with in-person instruction on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, which students are required to attend once a week, complemented by online lectures.
International Applicants
- International students requiring an I-20 or DC-2019 must apply for the in-person format.
- International students may apply for the fully online program. However, the University does not issue an I-20 or DC-2019 for 100% online programs.
- Due to visa requirements, international students admitted into the in-person learning option are required to register for on-campus sections and attend lectures in-person.
